From spinning ink on a small slip of paper at the summer fair as a child Mike has developed this art form to a new level. Upscaled and refined, his self taught method is certainly unique.
With a machine specially built by himself his technique implores using different tools, brushes, paint additives/mixers to gain control over the end product rather than always haphazardly throwing paint over it and hoping for the best.
Mike has been artistically challenged by this medium saying, "developing each effect has taken many years of practice, but I'm still learning... I don't think I'll ever stop learning. It's been great though, this is really a rewarding style. I can look at the paintings for hours; their intricacy is remarkable."
Any images you see are originals, this is truly an irreplicable art form. Even if the end work may look similar each piece is unique unto itself. Below are just a few examples of past sold work.
